Great Day to All,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Wayne Smith and my wife, Jennifer. We have four children ages 13, 11, 7, and 3 months, so between my melodramatic teenage daughter and my newborn son, I stay pretty busy. The one thing that we all love to do is fish. My three oldest are ready to go ALL the time!! The main reason they are so anxious is because of the wonderful fishing gear we use. I purchased a lightweight pole from a friend for my youngest. It was an Emmrod pole. We found that the children can cast and catch more fish with these Emmrod fishing poles. They are so light that even my 7 year old can cast where she wants. It doesn't backlash like the old ones we used. We were so pleased with the performance that we all have Emmrod poles now. My wife wanted to share our newfound treasure with other families. I checked into it and since there is nowhere to buy these in south Texas, we decided to become distributors for Emmrod fishing gear. That is how South Texas Rods was born.
